Nice big campground at high elevation. Score a campsite on the lake if you can. Wonderful place to base out of for hiking and exploring the High Uintas. Don't miss watching the sunset on Bald Mountain!
Washington lake has well kept sights. Has the best camp host. Lots of trees. Rite close to the trailhead.
Mirror Lake is about a mile away. Tons of people visit mirror lake. Let them. Washington lake is more beautiful and much less busy. You're at high altitude (above 10,000 feet) so expect cool evenings and nice summer days. The fishing is great. The campground is beautiful and has running water and toilets (yay!). Be prepared for the weather to change quickly, it's the tops of the mountain range you're looking at. Hiking is amazing.
Great way to beat the summer heat by being in the high Uintas. Camp sites have single wide, double wide, and pull thru parking options. 7 day limit.
My idea of camping is a hotel without cable. But this place just might convert me. It has tent pads, bathrooms, dumpsters, picnic tables, fire pits, and a beautiful lake for kayaking or paddle boating. Very quiet and peaceful.
